| 内容記述 | 我が国の2016年度の出生数は,100万人を割る「ミリオン・ショック」が現実のものとなり,高齢化率も過去最高を更新し,少子・超高齢化社会が一層進行している。本研究は,本学の学部の特徴を生かした教育・保育・保健医療分野の有機的な繋がりを軸に,活力あるコミュニティをいかに形成するかをテーマとした研究の第一報である。本論は,近世後期,上総・下総国(現在の千葉県)において展開された子育てを手がかりに,文献及び現地調査に基づいて2点から考察した。(1)エドワード・S・モースらが捉えた江戸期の子育てを光の側面として,(2)絵馬等にみられる間引き・子返しという風習を影の側面として検討した。 結果,モースらが評価した日本の子宝的子供観に立脚する「育てる子」と,一方,嬰児殺しや捨子という選択を余儀なくされた「育てない子」という<子育ての選別>が行われたことを論じ,社会全体で次世代を育成する社会システム構築のための基礎資料を提示した。 |

| 内容記述 | In 2016, the problems of Japan's declining birthrate and super aging society worsened; what was known as the “million shock” became a reality as the number of births in Japan fell below one million and the proportion of elderly people reached a record high. This study is the first report of research focused on how Japan can form vibrant communities that are based on organic links in the fields of education, childcare, and health and medicine and that make full use of our university's faculty. In this paper, the form of child raising that spread in Kazusa and Shimousa (present-day Chiba Prefecture) in the late Edo period is considered from two perspectives. First, child raising in the Edo period captured by Edward S. Morse and others was explored as a positive aspect. Second, the customs of mabiki and ko-gaeshi (forms of infanticide), based on a field survey regarding ema (votive tablets), were examined as a negative aspect. The results revealed that in child raising, a selection was carried out between the “children to be raised,” which, as evaluated by Morse and others, was based on the Japanese perspective that viewed children as a blessing, and the “children not to be raised,” where parents were forced to choose between infanticide and abandoning their children to perish. Basic materials for the construction of social systems to nurture the next generation by society as a whole are presented. |
