| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は，小学生用デジタル教材による個別学習で，成人のリスニング力が向上するかを検証することであった。今回は，英語力に不安を抱える現職教員を視野に入れ，類似した大学生対象の調査とした。参加者は，処置群として 1 年間以上英語学習をしていない 3・4 年生合計 9 名，対照群としてリスニング力の成績が処置群の学生とほぼ同じ 1 年生 9 名であった。処置群は，1 つの Lesson が 15 分程度で終わる 18の Lesson で構成された 5・6 年生用デジタル教材を使用し，1 日 1 Lesson を目安に 1 ヶ月程度の個別学習を行った。一方，対照群は当該大学で実施された習熟度別少人数クラスで通常の英語授業を 13 回受講した。それぞれの事前・事後を学習内容とは関係のない英検準 2 級のリスニングテストで比較した結果，処置群は成績が向上し 5％水準で有意な差になった。一方，対照群は成績に有意な向上はなかった。よって，英語力に不安を抱える現職教員は，小学生用デジタル教材による個別学習で，英語力の基盤となるリスニング力の向上が図れると示唆された | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to examine whether the listening skills of adults improved through individual learning with the use of digital teaching materials for elementary school students. Focusing this time on active teachers who are worried about their English ability, the study was conducted on university students of similar ability. The treatment group consisted of nine 3rd and 4th year university students who had not studied English for more than one year. The control group was made up of nine freshmen whose listening skills were almost the same as those in the treatment group. The treatment group used digital teaching materials for 5th and 6th graders consisting of 18 fifteen-minute lessons, and individual learning was conducted for approximately one month with one lesson per day as a guide. On the other hand, the control group attended 13 regular English lessons, divided into small classes according to proficiency level, conducted at the university. All participants' listening skills were measured with the EIKEN pre-2nd grade listening test, which had nothing to do with each group's learning content, and each pre- and post-test score was compared. Results showed that the scores of the treatment group improved, producing a significant difference at the 5% level. On the other hand, those of the control group did not show any significant improvement. Therefore, it was suggested that active teachers worried about their English ability can improve their listening skills, the basis of their English ability, through the individual use of digital elementary school teaching materials. |
