| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は，「歌・踊り・ゲーム」は，小学校における英語教育の指導法として適切かどうかを，関連文献を収集して分析調査することであった。そのため，報道，定期刊行物，書籍，論文等の活字媒体から，何が問題とされているかを明らかにし，専門的な観点からの考察を行った。さらに，小学校英語の指導法としてどのようなものが相応しいか，方策を考えた。結果から，以下のような論点が明らかにされ，詳細な考察が行われた。①「歌・踊り・ゲーム」に対する批判，②「子どもの発達段階」からの示唆，③「歌・踊り・ゲーム」の源流，④「コミュニケーション能力」とは何か，そして，⑤小学校英語教育における適切な指導法はどうあるべきかという問題であった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to conduct an analytical investigation of the literature on the appropriateness of using “Songs, Dances, and Games” as a teaching method in elementary school English education. Study of printed media, such as reports, periodicals, books and papers, revealed specific problems which were analyzed from a specialized viewpoint to complete the study. Furthermore, careful consideration was given to the search of a teaching method appropriate for elementary school English education. After analysis of the above materials related to elementary school English education, the following 5 topics were selected for discussion: (1) criticisms against the “Songs, Dances, and Games” method, (2) suggestions from “children’s developmental stages,” (3) the origins of the “Songs, Dances, and Games” method, (4) definitions of “communicative competence,” and (5) an appropriate teaching method in elementary school English education. | |||||
