Along with the endeavor to nurture citizens who can create an inclusive society, our university aims to train teachers who can provide a moral education, such as the inculcation of compassion, through ethics and morality classes. To achieve this objective, the university considers it necessary for teachers to conduct morality classes with confidence. Morality began\nto be taught as a subject in elementary schools in 2018; therefore, appropriate teaching skills must be acquired to enable trainee teachers help children in contemplating and discussing morality at the initiative of the children themselves. The university seeks to enrich the instruction of morality by utilizing mock classes and discussions so that the teachers can learn the pedagogical methods of moral education. The results of the present study confirmed that the teaching skills of the targeted learners improved after having conducted the mock classes. A questionnaire was administered to the trainee teachers who attended these classes, and all the participants responded that they would like to use the teaching skills attained from the module in their educational practice.
