The opera researchers created a libretto and music for the opera through discussions with the children, based on the narratives created and the sound shapes and figures created by imagining the lifestyles of people 5,000 years ago. In this study, we report what students have learned over a year-iong class through a retrospective class held after the premiere on February 7, 2019. The results of the analysis, showed that in the process leading to the Jōmon opera performance children learned deeply the history of the shell mound, Kasori, not only taking advantage of the wisdom and ingenuity of creative music play learned at the time of performance, but also the increased interest in to the community of Chiba
