 note = {本学の小学校教員免許取得希望の学生における手縫いの機会は乏しく,その技能は未熟な状態にあった。そこで,卒業直後から手縫いの指導にあたることのできる教員の養成を目ざし,なみ縫いを中心とした手縫い技能向上を図ることを目的とした授業を実践した。研究対象とした16名の学生は授業において毎回5分間の運針(なみ縫い練習)を行い,縫った距離を記録し,縫い目の出来栄えや集中力を自己評価した。全15回が終了し,各学生の最長運針距離の平均は初回
と比較しおよそ3.8倍に伸びた。中には初回より10倍距離を伸ばした学生もいた。変化があったのは距離だけでなく,縫い目の細かさや均一さなども着実に上達し,全員の手縫い技能が向上したといえる結果となった。また,手縫いの実践を継続的に繰り返し,その記録を残すことは,学生自身も技能や自信,意欲の向上,家庭科の指導への有効性を実感することにつながった。, This practical report describes an upskilling course in hand-stitching for teachers soon after graduating from the school of education, the purpose of which is to train them how to teach hand-stitching to elementary school students. The teachers responded to a survey regarding their weekly five-minute hand-stitching practice, keeping track of their sewing measurements. As a consequence, their average sewing measurement improved about fourfold. 
The teachers realized their improvement and the effectiveness of repetitive hand-stitching practice.},
