The relevant literature fell into the following categories: 1) the Augmentative and Alternative Communication approach, 2) speech development of children with physical disabilities, 3) communication processes between children with severe disabilities and their teachers, 4) communication through physical movement, 5) assessment of communication difficulties, 6) the living environment and social engagement of children with physical disabilities and 7) team approach of the related professionals.
